Chow'da
My next assignment is in Boston, MA at a local hospital. Yeah! Employment.
Anyone know anyone who lives in Boston? Need some serious help with the housing situation-- they're trying to put me 30 minutes away... but on the interstate I'm wondering if that will turn into 1hour commute. That would stink. Any suggestions on places near Boston Medical Center?
Happy, happy, joy, joy.
Baby-polooza has begun. Good friend Peggy has an adorable baby who likes the toys I gave him. Next stop ATL.

Boston. Whew. Last time I was up there that was the nastiest traffic I have ever seen. Those tour drivers must be crazy. Depending on where it is, 30 minutes could be the walking time as well. Plus check a lot to find bus and commuter rail lines that are nearby. I'm not sure how far in your work is, but if it's near the center public transport beats the crap out of driving, especially with all the road construction they have been undergoing. But that's a tourist point of view from someone that doesn't hate Atlanta traffic. If you aren't near the center then it gets a lot better, from what I saw of it.
I had a friend on the crew team who lived in Charlestown, right outside downtown. But I don't remember his name and, anyway, I doubt he still lives there.
I have a friend who lives in Lexington (I think) and works at the AF base (Hanscom). That's pretty far out of town, though. I could ask him what a commute from that area would be like, but you've probably already guessed it.
Still, congratulations on employment!
EXCITING!
I so want to come visit you in Boston!
Two days til Wednesday...
Hello!
My name is Katy and I'm a speech pathologist working in Boston. I'm writing for two reasons. Firstly, I live in Boston and might be able to provide some advice on the housing situation. Also, I'm looking to work with a traveling company and was wondering if I could pick you brain about different companies that you've had experience with.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Katy
